tea boosts antibiotic effectiveness
"We tested green tea in combination with antibiotics
against 28 disease-causing micro-organisms belonging
to two different classes," Dr. Mervat Kassem of
the Alexandria University in Egypt said in a statement.
"In every single case green tea enhanced the bacteria-killing
activity of the antibiotics."
New Strawberry
Varieties
Three new strawberry varieties were released by plant
breeders at the University of California, Davis. The
California Strawberry Commission says each of the new
varieties promises outstanding flavor and high productivity,
and that plant breeders began working on the new strawberry
varieties in 2001, reported California Farm Bureau.
