Smoothie
industry goes on health kick
When Anne Kessler strolls to her neighborhood smoothie
shop, she's looking for a treat. Her usual: the Mocha
Bliss, one of the more indulgent items on the menu at
Emerald City Smoothie. "It just tastes good,"
she said, sipping down a tall one on a recent afternoon.

New Juice and Smoothie Cafe
Hes doing it at his restaurant, The Squeeze Cafe,
located on the east side inside the Belk department
store at Cross Creek Mall. The space, most recently
occupied by the House of Brews, has its own entrance
from the parking lot. The cafe is next to the womens
apparel department.
Jamba
Juice gives away smoothies
Jamba Juice, not to be outdone by its coffee colleague
Starbucks, is offering free breakfast smoothies in Hawaii
on Tuesday. The Hawaii Jamba Juice stores are giving
away eight-ounce versions of their berry and mango peach
granola toppers, fruit blended with yogurt and soymilk
and topped with granola, on Tuesday morning before 9
a.m.
Nestlé
set to enter RTD smoothie market in UK
Nestlé set to enter smoothie marketNestlé,
the food and drinks giant, is set to enter the fruit
smoothie market currently dominated by Innocent, after
forging a partnership with Australian brand Boost Juice.The
two companies will start selling four kinds of co-branded
Boosted Smoothies this month, supported
by a £5 million marketing campaign.
